Box Score CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Thursday evening at the CCU Soccer Complex.

• With the result, the Chanticleers move to 3-4-4 overall and 0-1-4 in Sun Belt play.
• The Mountaineers struck first in the 27th minute when Walker Bristow set up Izzi Wood to give App State a 1-0 lead.
• Coastal responded just one minute later, as Eleanor Ashton slotted the ball into the bottom-right corner for her second goal of the season off assists from Rami Rapp and Matilda Larsson.
• At the half, the Chanticleers held an 8-4 advantage in shots, with Ashton pacing the offense with three shots, all on goal.
• Neither team could find the breakthrough in the second half, as Coastal finished with an 18-6 advantage in shots and an 11-2 edge in corner kicks.
• The result marks the third straight draw for the Chanticleers.
• Coastal recorded a season-high six shots on goal in the match.

The Chanticleers will now hit the road to face the Georgia State Panthers on Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. ET.
