CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina embarks on its final road trip of the season this weekend as it crosses the division line to face Sun Belt West Division member Texas State in San Marcos. The Chanticleers will be looking to snap a two-match skid after being swept at Georgia Southern last weekend, while the Bobcats aim to extend their four-match winning streak.

HISTORY
Coastal will look to snap a three-match losing streak to Texas State on Friday. The Bobcats lead the all-time series against the Chants, 12-4. Coastal is 2-9 against Texas State in Sun Belt play, including a 2-4 mark on the road.
SCOUTING TEXAS STATE
• Texas State sits in third place in the Sun Belt West Division with a 7-5 conference record and a 12-11 overall mark this season.
• The Bobcats feature one of the league's top blockers in Jade Defraeye, who ranks third in blocks per set (1.26) and fifth in total blocks (111). Defraeye also owns the team's best hitting percentage at .320.
• Anna Blaine serves as Texas State's top distributor, averaging 8.06 assists per set with 709 total helpers this season, ranking third and fifth in the Sun Belt, respectively.
• Samantha Wunsch leads the team in scoring, averaging 3.98 points and 3.30 kills per set. Her 274 kills are 75 more than the next-highest total on the squad. She also ranks second on the team in service aces (22), trailing only Maggie Walsh (26).
• Defensive specialist Alyssa Clark paces the Bobcats with 218 digs this season, averaging 3.16 per set. Wunsch (210) and Walsh (209) have also surpassed 200 digs apiece.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Coastal Carolina volleyball team was swept by Sun Belt East Division rival Georgia Southern over the weekend, falling 3-1 and 3-0.
• The Chants were limited to a .124 attack percentage (88-53-282) across the two matches, while the Eagles hit .259 (83-20-249). Georgia Southern posted a .350 hitting percentage (49-7-120) in the opening match as Coastal committed 27 attack errors.
• Coastal entered the series as the Sun Belt leader in blocks and blocks per set, but Georgia Southern doubled the Chants' total over the weekend, 18-9.

Jalyn Stout is just 20 digs shy of becoming the first player in school history with 1,000 kills, 1,000 assists, and 1,000 digs. Earlier this season, she became the first player in program history to record 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career assists.
TOP-10 BLOCKER: Junior
Anna Rita moved into sixth place on the school's single-season total blocks list over the weekend, recording her 121st of the year. She is one of just three players in the rally scoring era to collect 120 blocks in a season. Jill Nyhof tallied 156 blocks in 2008 and 155 the following year.

Anna Rita both rank among the Sun Belt leaders in hitting percentage. Fowler ranks fifth in the league at .354, while Rita ranks seventh at .332.
BLOCK PARTY: Coastal Carolina is averaging 2.62 blocks per set, currently the third-highest average in school history and the best in the rally scoring era (4.36 in 1988; 3.90 in 1989). The Chants rank second in the Sun Belt in that category.
WALLIS DISTRIBUTION: Junior setter
Ava Wallis has made the most of her expanded role this season after serving as a reserve last year. She has appeared in twice as many sets (85), recorded twice as many assists (459), and nearly tripled her digs total (201). Wallis has led the Chants in assists in 24 matches this season.
DIGGIN' IT:Â Senior libero
Bailee Earnhardt is enjoying her best season as a Chanticleer, posting career highs of 285 digs and 58 assists. She is nine aces shy of matching her career high of 50, set during her sophomore season.
