Softball Welcomes Louisiana for Three-Game Series

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina softball team is set to host Louisiana for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at St. John Stadium on March 28 to 30.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Coastal defeated the Texas State Bobcats in a three-game series, winning the Friday night game 6-0, marking its seventh shutout of the season.
  • Coastal matched its program high with six home runs in a single game against Texas State on Sunday.
  • Georgia Hood led the Chanticleers at the plate with four home runs and seven RBIs.
  • Nicolette Picone shined in the circle, pitching 13 innings and recording eight strikeouts.
  • Nine different Chanticleers recorded an RBI in the four games last week.

HISTORY AGAINST
  • Coastal has a 2-25 all-time record against Louisiana and will be looking to snap a 15-game losing streak to the Ragin' Cajuns.
  • The Chanticleers first faced Louisiana in March 2017, suffering a 9-0 defeat in five innings.
  • Coastal's first victory over Louisiana came on March 6, 2020, when it downed the Ragin' Cajuns 7-1. This was also its first top-ranked win in program history.
