Chants Complete Comeback Win Against Bowling Green

The Falcons came out strong in the top of the first inning, hitting back-to-back home runs to take an early 2-0 lead.
Bowling Green extended its advantage in the second when Hannah Hunt and Cameron Kaufman crushed consecutive RBI doubles, making it 4-0.
The Chants responded in the bottom of the second, narrowing the gap to 4-3 with Sydney Montoya's first career RBI, a Brie Normandin RBI double, and a sacrifice fly.
Normandin tied up the game in the bottom of the fourth frame after she laced her second RBI double of the day. Libby Pippin then ripped a two-run double to right-center field to give the Chants a 6-4 lead.
Coastal added three insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth on two RBI singles and the fielder's choice to push out in front to 9-4.
The Falcons loaded the bases in the top of the seventh, prompting Nicolette Picone to enter the circle. Kendall Mathews brought in a run on a sacrifice fly, but Picone held strong, securing the final three outs for her fourth save of the season.
Georgia Hood earned her first win in the circle, pitching two scoreless innings of work.
The Chanticleers will be back in action St. John Stadium on March 4 to face UNCG at 4 p.m. ET.
