CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team will travel to Charleston, S.C. for the Charleston Beach Classic on Friday, April 11. The Chants will match up with UNCW at 12 p.m. and the College of Charleston at 2 p.m. Coastal Carolina enters the matchups with a 15-11 overall record and a perfect 4-0 in Sun Belt play.
Senior Raychel Ehlers enters Friday with 92 career victories, two away from marking a new program record. Ellie Hanford (2021-2024) currently holds the record of 93.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
UNCW
- The overall series is tied 11-11 between the Chants and the Seahawks.
- This season, UNCW has won both matches with a 4-1 win on March 16 and a 3-2 win on April 4.
- The Seahawks enter the weekend with a 17-6 record and a 3-2 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.
College of Charleston
- Coastal holds an 11-8 all-time record against College of Charleston.
- The Chants have won seven consecutive matches over the Cougars, including a 4-2 victory on March 15, a 5-0 sweep on March 29 and a 5-0 sweep on April 5.
- College of Charleston enters the weekend with a 6-17 overall record and is 0-6 in Sun Belt Conference play.
