CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina softball team hits the road to face the UNCG Spartans for the second time this season. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. ET in Greensboro, N.C.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Chanticleers swept the Georgia State Panthers to improve to 9-6 in Sun Belt Conference play.
- Nicolette Picone earned two wins and recorded one save in the series.
- Coastal took a 2-1 win in game one, courtesy of a walk-off single from Clara Hudgens.
- CCU hit back-to-back home runs in its 3-1 win over the Panthers on Tuesday, marking the sixth time this season the Chants have achieved that feat.
- The Chants completed the sweep with a run-rule shutout on Sunday, highlighted by a two-run homer from Keirstin Roose and a two-run triple by Libby Pippin.
HISTORY AGAINST
- This marks the second meeting between Coastal and UNCG this season. The Chanticleers earned a 9-1 run-rule victory in their previous matchup on March 4.
- Coastal leads the all-time series 14-12 and has won seven of the last 10 matchups.
- The Chants will look to improve on their 1-4 road record against the Spartans.
- CCU is riding a three-game winning streak and has recorded run-rule victories in two of the last three meetings.
