NEW ORLEANS La. – The Coastal Carolina track and field team placed six on the All-Sun Belt year-end teams the league announced on Thursday. Amanda Kinloch and Molly Jones each earned first-team honors, Terrique Webb earned second-team honors, and Trey Kraimer, Adam Groves, and Amilia Wise-Sweat each picked up third-team honors.Â
Kinloch and Jones were each named All-Sun Belt first team after winning their events at the Sun Belt Championship last weekend. Kinloch defended her title in the 100-meter hurdles, while Jones won the 5,000 meter race after finishing second in the 10,000 meters. It's the second time Kinloch has been named to the outdoor all-conference first team after picking up honors last season. Jones makes the first team for the first time after being named third team in the 2022 and 2024 outdoor seasons.Â
Webb earned the silver medal at the Sun Belt Championships in the long jump with a score of 7.81 meters to be placed on the second team.Â
Kraimer and Wise-Sweat were each named to the All-Sun Belt third team after both placing third in the men and women's 800 meters. Groves took the bronze medal in the 5,000 meters to also earn third team honors.Â
The next stop for the Chants are the last chance qualifiers in Boone, N.C. on Saturday, May 17. Coastal will participate in the NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville, Fla. from May 28-31.
