GREENWOOD, Ind. – Five members of the Coastal Carolina softball team were named to the 2025 Academic All-District team, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday.
Libby Pippin,
Keirstin Roose,
Nicolette Picone,
Brie Normandin and
Clara Hudgens earned the honor. It marks the third straight selection for Picone, the second for Pippin, and the first for Roose, Normandin and Hudgens.
To be eligible for this award, must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Student-athletes must also compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
The five selections will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot where first, second, and third-team Academic All-America honors will be announced in June. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes softball honorees in four divisions; NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA.
