Men’s Soccer Welcomes Longwood for Home Opener

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team will host the Longwood Lancers in its home opener at the CCU Soccer Complex on Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. ET.

Coastal owns a 1-0-0 record on the year after defeating Winthrop 3-0 in its season opener.
The win marked Coastal's first season-opening victory since beating USC Upstate on Aug. 25, 2022.
The last time the Chants recorded a 3-0 shutout was on Nov. 11, 2020, against Georgia Southern.
Jaland Larmond and Angel Lopez each scored in their Coastal debut, while returner Christian Cook netted his third career goal for the Chants.
Loed Klaasen tallied two assists in the win over Winthrop. The last Chanticleer to record multiple assists in a match was Kaito Ueki against Presbyterian in September 2024.
Freshmen Jon Almudi and Lopez also picked up their first career assists in the victory over the Eagles.

History Against

CCU holds a 5-1-0 advantage in the all-time series against the Lancers.
The last meeting saw the Chants earn a 2-1 double-overtime win.
The first matchup came in August 2008, when Longwood edged Coastal 2-1.
Since then, the Chants have won five straight, including three shutouts.
Overall, Coastal has outscored the Lancers 20-4 across six meetings.

Brando Bedolla netted the Lancers' lone goal, assisted by Jesus Macaya.
