CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina softball team will face its fifth ranked opponent of the season when it welcomes No. 23 South Carolina to St. John Stadium on March 11 at 6 p.m. ET.
 
Scouting the Opponent

• The Gamecocks are ranked No. 23 in the nation.
• South Carolina owns a 15-9 record on the season.
• The Gamecocks will look to snap a three-game losing streak versus Duke on Tuesday night after falling 3-0 in a series to No. 3 Texas.
• Four members of the starting lineup are hitting over .300, with Quincee Lilo leading the squad with a .441 average.
• Karley Shelton paces the team with 26 RBIs.
• The team ranks No. 15 in the NCAA with 13 double plays and places 22nd with a .444 on-base percentage.
• Jori Heard leads the pitching staff with a 1.24 ERA and 45 strikeouts.
