JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Coastal Carolina goalkeeper
Charlotte Sadler has been named the Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, the conference announced Tuesday.
The weekly honor has been awarded six times this season, with Coastal Carolina claiming four of them — three by Sadler and one by
Grace Lord.
Sadler anchored the Chanticleer defense in last week's 8-7 win over Vanderbilt, recording 13 saves to match her season high. Her biggest stop came in the final seconds, denying the Commodores with just three seconds remaining to preserve the one-goal victory. She finished the game with a .619 save percentage, also matching her season high.
Sadler currently leads the ASUN in goals-against average (8.43) and save percentage (.489).
Coastal Carolina opens ASUN play this week with a pair of road games, beginning at Jacksonville on Thursday before traveling to Stetson on Saturday.
