CONWAY, S.C. — The Coastal Carolina softball team will host the Georgia Southern Eagles on March 27-29 for a three-game series at St. John Stadium.
 
Scouting the Opponent

• Georgia Southern owns a 13-18 record on the year.
• The Eagles snapped their six-game losing streak with a 7-1 win over College of Charleston on March 24.
• Georgia Southern has dropped series' against James Madison and Marshall to open Sun Belt Conference play.
• Jaycee Bilbrey leads the team with a .369 batting average, while Delanie Thames leads with 32 RBIs and eight home runs.
• Bailey Holland leads the pitching staff with a 4.03 ERA, five wins, and 28 strikeouts in the circle.
• Georgia Southern ranks last in the Sun Belt with 120 RBIs on the year. Coastal ranks second with 188 RBIs.

History Against

• Coastal has a 22-19 all-time record versus Georgia Southern.
• Last season, the Chants suffered a 2-1 series loss after dropping games one and two.
• Coastal owns an 11-5 home record against Georgia Southern.
• The first meeting came in April 1991, when Coastal earned a 5-3 victory.
