CONWAY, S.C. — The Coastal Carolina softball team will have two midweek contests against UNCW and Bowling Green before hosting No. 10 Florida State for a three-game series at the weekend.
 
Scouting the Opponent
UNCW

• UNCW owns an 8-9 record on the season and will look to snap a four-match losing streak.
• The Seahawks are 0-4 against Sun Belt Conference opponents after falling to Appalachian State and South Alabama twice each this season.
• Cassidy Relay leads the team with a .481 batting average, while Becca Merrick owns a team-high 11 RBIs.

Bowling Green

• Bowling Green enters with a 10-6 record on the year.
• The Falcons are led by former CCU Associate Head Coach Michelle Gardner, while former Chant Indya Smith serves as an assistant coach.
• Bowling Green has three players hitting over .300 this season, with Addie Martin pacing the squad at a .362 average and six home runs.
• Mackenzie Krafcik anchors the pitching staff with a 5-2 record, 30 strikeouts, and a 2.87 ERA.

Florida State

• Florida State owns a 17-4 overall record this season and is ranked No. 10 in the nation.
• The Seminoles earned a ranked win over No. 7 UCLA but have also fallen to ranked opponents including No. 1 Texas Tech, No. 3 Tennessee, and No. 9 Alabama.
• Isa Torres leads the team with a .500 batting average, while Makenna Sturgis paces the squad with 16 RBIs.
• The Seminoles rank fifth in the nation in doubles (45), sixth in triples (9), and 13th in double plays (11).

History Against
UNCW

• CCU owns a 75-22 all-time record versus UNCW and will look to build on its eight-game win streak over the Seahawks.
• Coastal has outscored UNCW 36-10 over the last five meetings
• The Chants hold a 29-11 road record in the series.

Bowling Green

• CCU is 3-1 all-time versus Bowling Green.
• The last meeting came in March 2025, when Coastal earned a 9-5 win behind multi-RBI performances from Libby Pippin and Brie Normandin.
• All four matchups have occurred at St. John Stadium, and CCU will look to extend its three-game win streak in the series.
• The Chants have run-ruled the Falcons in two of the four contests.

Florida State

• Coastal is 0-9 all-time versus Florida State.
• This marks the first matchup at St. John Stadium between the two programs.
• The teams last met at the Florida Atlantic Tournament in March 2015, when the Chants suffered two shutout losses. 

During the Florida State series, the Chants will be available post-game to sign autographs for fans. No.10 Florida State players will join the autographing session after the conclusion of Saturday's game.
