Jennifer Stewart spent the 2004 as assistant coach at Coastal Carolina University, serving as the pitching coach.
A native of Yukon, Oklahoma, Stewart was a four-year starter for the University of Oklahoma in the circle, earning First Team All-Midwest Region and All-Big 12 honors in each of her four years and compiling a 115-24 record in her career. A two-time NCAA Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team selection, Stewart led the Sooners to their first NCAA Softball Championship in 2000, going 34-6, including 4-0 in the WCWS and earning the tournament's Most Oustanding Player honor. She was the 1999 Big-12 Freshman of the Year and also a Third Team All-American in 2000 and 2001. She holds the school record for single-season wins with 37 in 2001.
”Jennifer is a perfect fit for us here at Coastal,” head coach Jess Dannelly said. “She has a wealth of experience that will be beneficial to our program. Having won a national title at Oklahoma, she has experienced the top level of softball and can help show our girls what it takes to get to that level.”
