“We are extremely excited to welcome Jill to our staff! She comes with a wealth of experience on the field, including Northwestern’s most recent NCAA Final Four appearance this May and the exciting Athletes Unlimited Pro League,” stated Shuck Whitten. “Jill had an outstanding year taking the draw for the Wildcats and we are looking forward to her bringing that talent to Coastal.”

Girardi began her collegiate lacrosse career at Northwestern in 2018, where she appeared all 21 games while making nine starts. As a freshman, she totaled 15 points on 11 goals and four assists, and earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors after scoring her first career hat trick against Penn State. From 2019 to 2021, the Watertown, N.Y. native appeared in 38 games while starting 10 matches.

In her senior season in 2022, Girardi scored 52 goals and 10 assists for a total of 62 points. She also set the program’s single-season record with 183 draw controls while appearing in all 18 games. She also picked up first-team All-Big Ten honors, and was a four time Big Ten Midfielder of the Week selection. Over her career, Girardi finished in the top five in Northwestern’s program history by winning 267 draw controls for an average of 3.47 draw controls per game.
