Opening Tip
• CCU enters the game looking to stop a four-game losing streak.
• Even after losing four consecutive games, the Chants are only three games out of first place with five games left in the season.
• These teams have faced each other five times beginning back in 2007 ... The Chants own a slim 3-2 edge in the series.
• The teams only played once last season, and that game was here in Conway ... The Panthers came away with a 72-58 win.
• Zac Cuthbertson is closing in on 1,000 career points ... With his game-high 21 points against Georgia Southern, the senior now has 917 career points ... He scored 455 points last season during his first year as a Chanticleer, and his 18.5 points per game average this year has him with 462 points.
• Should he reach 1,000 points, he would become the 22nd player in CCU history to reach the milestone.
• Even more impressive, he would become only the third person to score 1,000 points in just two years ... Howard White (1974-76) scored 1,321 points and Manuel Jessup (1976-78) scored 1,124.
• CCU will hit the road for its final regular season road trip of the season next week ... CCU will make the trip to Louisiana and face the Ragin' Cajuns Thursday, Feb. 28 at 8 p.m. (ET) and will head over to Monroe and play the Warhawks Saturday, March 2 at 3 p.m. (ET).
