Chants look to build on solid Fall finishes
CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team will be back in action when it travels to Savannah, Ga., for The Southern scheduled for Oct. 23-24 at the par-72, 6,481-yard Savannah Golf Club.
Sun Belt Conference member Georgia Southern will host an 11-team field that along with the Chanticleers features Xavier, Augusta, Western Kentucky, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Missouri, Jacksonville State FAU, and Sacred Heart.
The Southern is CCU's third fall event and the Chants have had solid eighth-place finishes at both the Lady Paladin Invitational, and the Evie Odom Invitational.
Head coach Katie Quinney has a lineup that includes Hannah Karg, Luisa Gibson, Sara Sarrion, Isabella Spinazze, and Varatkarn Kunkaew, Carolina Hortian will also make the trip and will play as an individual.
The two-day, 54-hole event is scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m. ET on Monday for the opening 36 holes of action. The third and final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
