Loeswick, Rivest, and Stout Earn Top Sun Belt Honors

Three Chanticleers selected to all-conference teams
NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Sun Belt Conference announced today that Coastal Carolina's Jasmine Rivest has been voted the conference's Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year while head coach Steve Loeswick and Jalyn Stout were named Sun Belt Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year, respectively.
Rivest and Stout were tabbed to the All-Sun Belt first team with teammate Sydney Lewis was selected second-team all-conference.
Rivest led the Coastal Carolina volleyball team to a 19-9 overall record while leading the team to a regular season Sun Belt title with a 14-2 conference record. The Chanticleers' floor captain is a three-time Sun Belt Player of the Week award winner this season. She guided Coastal Carolina to a 13-match winning streak to open conference play and the East Division title.
The Montreal, Quebec, native is 10th nationally and leads the SBC with 4.45 kills per set while totaling 432 kills in 97 sets. She is 13th nationally while leading the Sun Belt with 500.5 points and 5.16 points per set. The redshirt senior leads the Chants with 39 service aces and is third on the team with 252 digs and 52 blocks.
The outside hitter has tallied 15 double-doubles on the year and set the school record with 36 kills and 38.5 points in a five-match against Georgia State.
Loeswick earned his first coach of the year honor at Coastal Carolina after guiding the Chanticleers to a 14-2 SBC record and the Sun Belt regular season title.
Stout has recorded an NCAA-best 12 triple-doubles while averaging a triple double with 305 kills, 423 assists, and 283 digs in 25 matches played. The Gainesville, Fla., native has recorded 343.5 points, 26 blocks, and 25 service aces. The freshman setter recorded a career-high 25 kills in the opening weekend versus Charlotte, where she was named to the all-tournament team. Stout tallied double-digit kills 19 times, assists 24 times, and digs 17 times, and just missed recording a triple-double in three other matches by just one stat.
Lewis led the Chanticleers with 409 digs on the season for a 4.22 digs per set average. The Saint Johns, Fla., native has recorded 20 service aces in 97 sets played and has tallied 20-plus digs in nine matches on the season.
