
Track and Field Travels to Jacksonville for East Coast Relays

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set for a trip to Jacksonville Fla. this weekend for the East Coast Relays at Hodges Stadium on Apr 26-27.
At the USC Open last weekend, the Lady Chants completed the one-day event with 16 top-10 placements, including Olivia Goeser and Amanda Kinloch finishing atop the leaderboard in the women's 5000m and 100m hurdles preliminary event, respectively. Kinloch later finished fourth in the 100m hurdles final event with a time of 13:24.
On the men's side, Coastal ended with 12 placements inside the top-10 of their respective events. CCU claimed two top-place finishes with the 4x400m relay team and freshman Skylor Griffiths securing first-place in the men's 4x400m relay and the men's high jump events. Griffiths ended with a 2.06m final distance. Freshman Elliot Grayson placed second in the same event with a 2.00m distance.
This weekend, the East Coast Relays are hosted by the University of North Florida. Coastal Carolina will be the lone representative from the Sun Belt Conference.
The East Coast Relays will start tomorrow afternoon with the men's hammer throw at 3 P.M. ET and end with the men's and women's 5000m event at 9:10 P.M. ET.
