Box Score CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Old Dominion Monarchs on Friday evening in Norfolk, Va.
- With the loss, Coastal falls to 1-6-0 overall and 0-3-0 in Sun Belt play.
- Old Dominion struck first in the eighth minute when Out Bisong scored off assists from Alex Kryazhev and Lewis Rourke.
- The Monarchs doubled their lead in the 13th minute as Bisong recorded his brace.
- The Chants responded just four minutes later on a set piece. Freshman Jon Almudi delivered a free kick to the feet of Loed Klaasen, who fired the ball into the bottom right corner to cut the deficit to 2-1.
- The score held for the remainder of the match, with Coastal trailing 13-5 in shots at the final whistle.
- Eight of 11 Chanticleer starters played the full 90 minutes.
The Chanticleers will return home to host their third ranked opponent of the season, No. 8 West Virginia, on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. ET.
