CONWAY, S.C. — Coastal Carolina University will introduce Ryan Beard as the fifth head coach in Chanticleer football history at a press conference on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. ET at the HTC Center.

Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation Chance Miller, along with University President James J. Winebrake, will formally welcome Coach Beard to Teal Nation. Media, university personnel, supporters, and members of the community are invited to attend.

The press conference will air live on ESPN+, as well as on GoCCU social media pages and iHeart Radio/Rock 107, giving fans multiple ways to follow the announcement in real time.

Coach Beard arrives in Conway after a successful stint at Missouri State, where he led the Bears to a bowl berth in 2025 during the program's first season at the FBS level.

Media attending the event will have an opportunity to take part in a formal Q&A session with Coach Beard, President Winebrake, and Miller. Local TV stations will also be able to carry the press conference live.
