ATHENS, Ga. – Coastal Carolina senior Max Bengtsson and sophomore Drew Sykes completed their second round of play at the 2026 NCAA Athens Regional on Tuesday at the UGA Golf Course.

Competing as individuals, Bengtsson is tied for 21st overall at 2-under par through 36 holes, while sophomore Drew Sykes is tied for 31st at even-par entering Wednesday's final round.

Bengtsson opened the tournament with a 2-under 69 on Monday before carding an even-par 71 in Tuesday's second round. He sits nine shots back of the top individual qualifying spot entering the final round.

Sykes made a strong move up the leaderboard on Tuesday after firing a 3-under 68 in the second round following an opening-round 3-over 74 on Monday. His second-round score was one of the better rounds in the field Tuesday and moved him back to even par for the tournament.

Vanderbilt holds the team lead at 22-under par, followed by Louisville at 19-under and Auburn at 14-under. Georgia and BYU round out the top five team positions entering the final round.

Individually, Vanderbilt's Will Hartman leads the field at 12-under par through two rounds.

The final round of the NCAA Athens Regional is scheduled for Wednesday morning. Sykes will tee off at 9:23 a.m. alongside Howard's Michael Perusse and South Alabama's Hugo Thyr, while Bengtsson will begin his round at 9:34 a.m. paired with Howard's Bear Huff and Louisiana's Malan Potgieter.
