GILBERT, Ariz. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team finished 10th in the Carolina Region as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its final rankings for the 2026 season. It marks the first time the Chanticleers have finished ranked in the region since 2019.
Coastal finished as the fourth-highest-ranked team in South Carolina, trailing South Carolina (2nd), Clemson (3rd) and South Carolina State (9th). The Chanticleers were one of five Sun Belt Conference teams to earn a regional ranking, joining Old Dominion (2nd – Atlantic Region), James Madison (8th – Atlantic Region), Troy (8th – Southern Region) and Louisiana (10th – Southern Region).
The Chanticleers finished 12-11 overall this season and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
Christopher Norlin earned All-Sun Belt First Team honors in singles and also garnered all-conference recognition in doubles, teaming with
Eric Tripathi to earn All-Sun Belt Second Team honors.
In addition to this year's regional ranking, the Chants also finished 10th in the Carolina Region following the 2013, 2016 and 2019 seasons and posted a program-best ranking of eighth following the 2015 season.
