Men’s Soccer Remains on Road to Face Longwood

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team will remain on the road to take on Longwood on Aug. 24 in Farmville, Va. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. ET.

The Chanticleers will look to build on their 0-0 tie against No. 2 NC State.
Five Chants — Will Devine, Daniel Idiakhoa, Patrick Kolano, Pearse O'Brien and Kaden Pollard — played the full 90 minutes.
Four freshmen — Joe Wilcock, Brady Schumacher, Parker Sturgis and Kolano — made their collegiate debuts, while eight others made their first appearances in Teal and Bronze.
Four different players recorded shots in the opener, with the Chants posting a .750 shots-on-goal percentage.
Goalkeeper Devine made four saves on the 19 shots he faced to record his first clean sheet for the Chants.

Scouting the Opponent

Longwood enters the match with a 1-0 record after recording a comeback win over William & Mary in its season opener.
The Lancers trailed 2-0 before battling back to earn the 6-5 victory.
Junior Joshwa Campbell and sophomore Youssef Shafei each recorded a brace, with Shafei scoring the game-winner with just one minute remaining.
The Lancers had five other players record points. Brando Bedolla scored one goal and added two assists, while Pau Garcia scored one goal and recorded an assist. Mesfin Roda added three assists, while Evan Gaines and Ezrah Serralde each tallied an assist.
Longwood's six goals marked the most in a road game during the program's Division I era.

History Against

Coastal holds a 5-1 all-time record against Longwood.
The Chants will look to improve on their 2-0 road record against the Lancers.
CCU is riding a five-match winning streak against the Lancers, recording a clean sheet in three of those five matches.
