Biography

In addition to his quarterback duties last season, Keane has served two seasons as the holder for PAT/FG and he has completed 7-of-10 2-point attempts while he is 1-4 rushing on 2-point attempts … Even though he was just 67-of-105 for 809 yards with 10 touchdowns, he still ranks sixth on the CCU all-time list for completions, sixth for passing yards, sixth for passing TDs and eighth for pass attempts.

2016 (Jr.): Played in 11 games, starting seven at quarterback and led CCU to a 6-1 record in those seven starts … Was a game captain for the Charleston Southern contest … Completed 67-of-105 for 809 yards with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions … Was also 5-of-6 passing on 2-point attempts, including 3-for-3 in the Presbyterian game … Added 41 rushes for 135 yards … Was injured during the Monmouth game and saw limited action in the Bryant game … Started versus Liberty, but was injured again and missed the season finale versus Hampton … Came off the bench in the second half at #4 Jacksonville State to take over as quarterback and was named the team’s Offensive MVP for the game … Brought CCU back from a 20-12 deficit, leading CCU to two TD drives including an eight-yard pass to Laquay Brown, to go up 26-20 in the fourth quarter … For the game at Jacksonville State, was 8-of-15 for 118 yards … In his first start (Furman), was 9-of-14 with two touchdowns … In CCU’s double-overtime loss to #10 Charleston Southern, Keane was 14-of-21 for a career-high 149 yards and two TDs, including one in the first overtime period … Was an efficient 15-of-18 for 100 yards at Gardner-Webb, including an 11-yard TD in the fourth quarter to seal the 17-7 win … In fact, his 83.3 completion percentage versus the Bulldogs ranks third on the CCU single-game list … Overall best game was versus Central Connecticut State, passing for 141 yards (7-of-15) and two scores while rushing for a career-high 61 yards on 11 attempts … In his final full game (at Presbyterian), completed 9=of-16 passes for 122 yards and two scores … Was just 4-of-5 for six yards in the final three games he played … Posted at least a 3.0 GPA for the 2016-17 academic year as he earned Dean’s List in the spring of 2017.

2015 (So.): Played in all 12 games, serving as the starting holder of PAT/field goals ... Helped Ryan Granger make a CCU-record, 10-straight field goals as well as a CCU-record 16 fields goals in a season ... Was 1-for-3 on two-point conversions as rusher and completed 2-of-4 passes for two-point conversions ... Also ran the option, pitching to Granger for a touchdown on a fake field goal versus Presbyterian ... His rushing two-point conversion came at Furman in the season opener, but was 0-for-1 in the game on pass attempt ... Completed a two-point conversion in week two at South Carolina State ... Also completed a two-point conversion versus Kennesaw State ... Named to the 2015-16 Big South Presidential Honor Roll for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the academic year ... Earned Dean's List in the spring of 2016.

2014 (RFr.): Did not see game action ... Named Chat Squad Offensive Player of the Week (Richmond) ... Named to the 2014-15 Big South Presidential Honor Roll for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the academic year ... Earned Dean’s List in the spring of 2015.

2013 (Fr.): Redshirted ... Selected a Chant Squad MVP for the weeks leading into the Charlotte and Bethune-Cookman contests ... Named to the 2013-14 Big South Presidential Honor Roll for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the academic year ... Earned Dean’s List in the fall of 2103 and spring of 2014.

Prior to Coastal Carolina: Named to the 2012 WPDE All-Zone team ... Played in the NUC North vs. South All-American Football Game ... Totaled 3,036 passing yards and 30 touchdowns along with 54 rushing yards and two scores as a senior at Myrtle Beach High School ... Led the Seahawks to a 10-2 record and a second round playoff appearance in 2012 ... Piled up a South Carolina state record-tying eight touchdown passes against Conway High School as a senior ... Threw for 1,588 yards and 25 touchdowns as a junior ... Holds the Myrtle Beach High School single game passing record with 520 yards.
