4x400-Meter Relay Team Highlights Day Two of the Bob Pollock Invitational

Chants relay team turned in the third-fastest time in school history
CLEMSON, S.C. – On the heels of setting three school records on day one of the Bob Pollock Invitational, the Coastal Carolina women's indoor track & field team continued its strong season on day two of the invite in Clemson, S.C., on Saturday, highlighted by the 4x400-meter relay team recording the third-best time in school history.
Coastal's relay unit of Lauren Gordon, Alexis Glasco, Amaryah White, and Amelia Canetto finished third overall in the 4x400-meter relay with a time 3:43.80, the third-best mark on the program's indoor all-time performance list.
The Coastal Carolina "B" relay team of Amanda Kinloch, Brianna Tillman, Amilia Wise-Sweat, and Kayla Sweeney finished 14th overall in the 4x400-meter relay with their time of 3:55.09.
Sweeney also raced to a 15th-place finish in the 200-meters with a new personal-best time of 24.31, the sixth-fastest mark in school history, finishing ahead of fellow Chants White (24.97) and Kinloch (25.41), who finished in 30th and 40th, respectively, with personal-best times.
In the field events, the Chants picked up five top-25 place finishes, as newcomers Mia Lewis (11.19 meters) and Claire Spiller (11.14 meters) placed 15th and 16th overall in the triple jump.
CCU's Lauralyn Clifford recorded a 21st-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.97 meters, while teammate Kadasia Evans finished 23rd overall in the high jump event with a height of 1.55 meters.
The Chanticleers will take a week off before returning to competition on Feb. 10-11. The Chants will split the squad up to compete in two meets, taking part in the Tiger Paw Invite at Clemson and the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational hosted by Liberty.
