CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team will face the William & Mary Tribe on Monday, Aug. 28, at the CCU Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET.

- This is the second contest of a three-match home stand that will conclude against USC Upstate on Friday, Sept. 1.
- The Chants lead the country in newcomers by percentage with 25 fresh faces making up 78.1% of the roster.
- CCU had 16 of its 25 new players make their debut in the Teal and Bronze in the season opener last time out, which included five freshmen and 11 transfers.
- The Tribe have a 1-0 record on the season after beating Binghamton 2-1 in its season opener last Thursday.
- The Chants suffered a 2-0 defeat in their 2023 regular season opener versus the Winthrop Eagles on Thursday night at the CCU Soccer Stadium.
- Coastal was the aggressors throughout the match outshooting the Eagles 7-3 in the first half and 8-5 in the second period.
- Winthrop's Ricardo Ferreira netted the first goal in the 81st minute and delivered the final blow of a corner set piece in the 85th minute.
- Sophomore Doug Hainer and senior Deryn Armstrong led the team with three shots each and the Chants challenged the Winthrop keeper five times in the match.
- The Chants have a 4-4-1 overall record versus the Tribe.
- The first matchup came back in 1992 when the Chants fell 3-2 in overtime.
- CCU won the last outing versus the Tribe 4-2 on Aug. 28, 2022, with junior Noe Santos recording an assist in the win.
- Coastal will be looking to improve on its 1-1-1 home record versus the Tribe.
- The Chants have outscored William & Mary 15-11 over their nine contests and have shut out the Tribe on two occasions.
