HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw against the James Madison Dukes in its Sun Belt Conference opener on Saturday evening in Harrisonburg, Va.

With the draw, CCU moves to 3-3-1 on the season.
James Madison took the lead in the 38th minute when Brooke Potter found the bottom left corner of the net to make the score 1-0.
At the end of the first half, Coastal trailed 7-1 in shots and 5-0 in corner kicks.
Leading goal scorer Dolcie O'Connor leveled the score in the 48th minute, blasting her third goal of the season into the top left corner to tie the match at 1-1.
O'Connor paced the team with two shots on the evening.
Aris Lamanna recorded three saves in the outing.
Eefje Botjer was Coastal's lone field player to play the full 90 minutes.

The Chanticleers will remain on the road to take on South Alabama on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. ET.
