Groves Wins Individual Title, Men and Women Place Second in Chanticleer Challenge

CONWAY – Adam Groves took home his second individual title of the season as he won the 8k at the Chanticleer Challenge on the Hackler Golf Course in Conway on Friday night. Coastal's men's and women's teams both finished second behind Richmond in the home meet.
Groves' time of 23:28.27 was the third-quickest 8k in school history and the fastest 8k in the Chanticleer Challenge ever. He won the event last year and won the first event of this year at the Elon Opener 6k.
On the women's side, Addison Laughlin was the top Coastal finisher in fifth with a time of 17:41.74, right in front of Olivia Fischlein at 17:45.35.
