Men's Golf Set To Compete At The Hayt

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's golf team will compete in The Hayt, hosted by North Florida at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., March 7–9.
The three-day event will feature 16 teams competing in a 54-hole stroke-play format, with 18 holes scheduled each day and the low four scores counting toward the team total in each round.
The Chanticleers will face a strong field that includes several nationally ranked programs, including No. 1 Virginia, No. 2 Auburn, No. 6 LSU, No. 11 Texas Tech, No. 15 Alabama, No. 17 North Carolina, No. 20 Duke and No. 21 Charlotte. Clemson, Liberty, Louisville, South Carolina, UCF, USF and host North Florida round out the tournament field.
Coastal Carolina's lineup for the event will include Max Bengtsson, Jack Lee, Drew Sykes, Harrison James and Santiago Schele, with Lucas Arntsen competing as an individual.
Coastal Carolina opened its spring season with a third-place finish at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational 10 days ago, finishing at 17-under 842 for the tournament. Jack Lee paced the Chanticleers with a 7-under 209, while Bengtsson and Sykes each carded a 6-under 210 to help lead CCU's strong showing in the season-opening event.
The tournament will be played at Sawgrass Country Club, a par-72 course measuring 6,966 yards. The course previously hosted the PGA Tour's Tournament Players Championship from 1977-81 before the event moved to nearby TPC Sawgrass.
Live scoring for The Hayt will be available throughout the tournament on Scoreboard powered by Clippd.
