Biography

Graduated from Coastal Carolina in the summer of 2017 with a degree in public health ... Graduated in December 2018 with a second bachelor’s degree in recreation and sport management ... A four-time member of the Team Leadership Council (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018)

2018 (Redshirt Senior): Played in and started seven games in the defensive backfield for the Chants … Missed four games due to a shoulder injury … Totaled 26 tackles on the year, including 22 solo stops … Also had 1.0 tackle-for-loss and a team-high four pass breakups on the season … Recorded seven tackles, including six solo tackles, and a pass breakup in the season opener at South Carolina (Sept. 1) … Totaled five tackles and 1.0 tackle-for-loss in the home win over UAB (Sept. 8) … Returned from injury to pick up four solo tackles and a pass breakup versus ULM (Oct. 13) … Recorded six tackles and two pass breakups in the road win at UMass (Oct. 20) … Had two solo tackles in back-to-back home contests versus Appalachian State (Nov. 3) and Arkansas State (Nov. 10).

2017 (Redshirt Junior): Was the only junior voted as a team captain for the 2017 season … Named the team’s Defensive MVP for the Troy game as he collected eight tackles and recorded a career-high three pass breakups … Was named the team’s Offensive Player of the Game versus Texas State as he returned a fumble on a muffed field goal attempt for a touchdown in CCU’s 27-7 loss … The 50-yard fumble return was the longest in CCU history … Logged a career-high 13 tackles , including 11 solo stops versus Texas State … Blocked a 29-yard field goal late in the Idaho win ... Field goal block came early in the third quarter with CCU leading 10-7 (CCU won 13-7) … Added eight tackles versus Georgia State and two pass breakups in the UMass and Georgia Southern wins … Earned Dean’s List honors for the spring of 2018 …. Received Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll recognition for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the 2017-18 academic year.

2016 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in all 12 games, starting 11 in the defensive backfield … Totaled 44 tackles, fifth on the team, and had a team-best eight pass breakups … Credited with two pass breakups in contests versus Jacksonville State, Charleston Southern and Monmouth … Opened the season with 10 tackles (four at Lamar and six versus Florida A&M) and had a tackle-for-loss in both contests … Added a pass breakup with six stops versus Florida A&M to be named the team’s Defensive MVP … Had a team-best and career-high seven tackles in the Central Connecticut State win … In addition to his two pass breakups versus Monmouth, he had a 42-yard interception return for a touchdown to provide the 38-7 final … Closed the season with four tackles and an interception versus Hampton … Received Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll recognition for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the 2016-17 academic year.

2015 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 11 games, getting two starts (Presbyterian and The Citadel) … Finished the season with 15 tackles, 13 solo, and three pass breakups … Made three tackles in both of those starts, adding two pass breakups versus Presbyterian … Also had three stops in the Gardner-Webb win … Contributed two tackles and a pass breakup versus Kennesaw State ...  Named to the 2015-16 Big South Presidential Honor Roll for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the academic year.

2014 (Freshman): Redshirted ... Named Chant Squad Special Teams Player of the Week (Charleston Southern).

High School: Tabbed first-team Maryland 1A/2A All-State as a senior and honorable mention as a junior … Second-team All-Gazette Prince George’s County team and All-Met … As a senior, had five interceptions, six pass breakups and four fumble recoveries … Opponents completed just two passes against him for the year … Had nine career interceptions, six fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns … Played in the Chick-fil-A Challenge, a senior all-star game between Prince George’s County and Southern Maryland Athletic Conference … Led the Gywnn Park High School Yellow Jackets to an 11-1 record, falling in the second round (region final) of the state championship … A four-year honor roll member.
