CCU's eighth-place finish was led by senior States Fort who placed in a tie for 10th overall with his 54-hole individual score of 209, -7 under par.
Coastal finished one stroke behind both Furman (845, -19) and NC State (845, -19) and just five strokes out of the top five on the team leaderboard.

"Same results again today, as we got in a good spot and dropped four shots coming in. We did exactly that on all three rounds. It's frustrating because it was so close to being a really good week," said head coach Jim Garren. "A nice final round by States today and a solid week for him overall. We've got to get much better with our putting and short game overall. That'll be our focus these next two weeks. We just aren't getting the ball in the hole."
