"We had a nice effort today. That last hole hurts because it cost us a few spots on the leaderboard. Overall a solid start to the season. I'm proud of the way we bounced back and how we handled the adversity of being on the road so long with the evacuation," stated head coach Jim Garren. "A big-time round out of Seth today. His first time playing up north and at his level. Really good stuff today and a solid week overall."
Zack Taylor led the Chants with a 54-hole score of 213, -3 under par, to finish in a tie for 13th overall. The senior posted rounds of 73, 70 and 70 en route to his top-15 finish. After a second-round 70, -4 under par, on Monday, Taylor carded six birdies and nine pars for his final round 70. He finished the three days of play with 13 birdies and one eagle overall.

The freshman followed up back-to-back rounds of 74, +2, with a CCU-low round 68 on Tuesday which included five birdies and 12 pars overall. He finished with 10 birdies and one eagle for the week.
