The women's team, which has seen school records fall in each of their first two meets this indoor season, enters the meet ranked as a team No. 10th overall in the Southeast Region and No. 38th nationally by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Leading the way for the women's team is two-time Sun Belt Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week Melissa Jefferson who has set two school records already this indoor season, ranks fifth nationally in the 200-meters with her school-record time of 23.34 and 10th overall in the 60-meter dash with a school-record time of 7.29.

Distance-wise, a trio of freshmen in Molly Jones, Meagan Moreno, and Amilia Wise-Sweat have all posted at least one top-10 performance on the season with Wise-Sweat etching her name into the CCU top-10 list in the 800-meters and Jones in the 3000-meters.
In the field and throwing events, redshirt sophomore Kynnedy Dennis is coming off a first-place finish in the pole vault event at the Carolina Challenge with a mark of 3.45 meters, a new personal-best mark and the sixth-best height in CCU's history, while Alyssa Gregory turned in a height of 3.30 meters, which was good enough for second overall and tied for the eighth-best mark in the program's annals.
Coastal also had three Chants place in the top-15 in the shot put led by sophomore Alexis Estep and her sixth-place finish with a new personal-best mark of 13.11 meters, which also ranked 10th overall in CCU history.
