Chants Travel to Lexington, Ky. for NCAA East Regionals

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's track and field teams are set for the penultimate event of the 2024 outdoor season with the start of the NCAA East Regionals in Lexington, Ky. on May 22-25.
At the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships earlier this month in Monroe, La, CCU finished the three-day meet with 10 podium placements, including recently named SBC Newcomer of the Year Genson Hooper Price and Amanda Kinloch claiming the gold medal in the men's 400m and women's 100m hurdles. Hooper Price also set a program record for the 400m with his final time of 49.09.
Coastal Carolina is sending 11 student-athletes to Lexington for this week's national meet. Along with the aforementioned Hooper Price and Kinloch, Ebba Hedberg, Molly Jones, Camryn Lorick and Claire Spiller will feature on the women's side and Braydon Bennett, Deondre Hardy, Robert Johnson, Brendan Kovar and Garrett Wilkins will feature for the men's team.
Along with the Chants, the Sun Belt Conference will be represented by James Madison, App State, ULM, Louisiana, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Georgia State and Georgia Southern.
The NCAA East Regionals from Lexington, Ky. will open tomorrow morning at 10 A.M. ET with the first round of the men's hammer throw and conclude with the men's 10k semifinals at 9:10 P.M. ET.
