Women’s Soccer Travel to East Carolina Thursday

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team remains on the road to take on East Carolina in its third straight road contest on Aug. 29. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. ET.

CCU has a 0-2-1 record on the season.
This is Coastal's third straight road match of the year.
The Chants will be looking to snap a two-match losing streak after falling to UNCW and No. 15 Auburn.
Freshman goalkeeper Aris Lamanna made her collegiate debut between the pipes against Auburn, making four saves off 11 shots.
Eefje Botjer leads the team with 260 minutes of playing time on the backline.

Last Time Out

The Chants suffered a 3-0 shutout defeat to No. 15 Auburn.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute when Anna Haddock found the back of the net.
Auburn's Carly Thatcher made the score 2-0 in the 18th minute on an assist from Haddock and Shelby Sallee.
Keeper Lamanna entered the match in the second frame and held No. 15 Auburn to one goal in the 79th minute.
The Tigers outshot CCU 26-1 and 19-2 in corner kicks.
Tamlyn Parkes was the lone Coastal player to take a shot in the match.

East Carolina owns a 2-0-1 record on the year
The Pirates picked up a 1-0 victory over NC State in their season opener and beat UNCG 2-1 in their second match.
ECU is coming off a 0-0 tie versus Campbell
Sydney Schnell, Emma Sheehan, and Abby Sowa have each tallied one goal each on the year.
Maeve English has picked up two wins in goal and has recorded six saves off 18 shots.
Sowa was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal versus NC State.

History Against

CCU has a 1-0-1 record versus East Carolina.
The first matchup was in September 2008 when the Chants took a 2-1 win.
